Trades & Construction
Search marketing for builders, trades and construction suppliers.
Local demand, phone-first customers and a big difference between a $200 job and a $200,000 one. We set up search to bring in the work you want and filter out the work you don't.
Who we work with

The search landscape
Where trades and construction search goes wrong.
Most of the money is lost in three places: the wrong jobs, untracked calls and copy-paste location pages.
01
Small jobs eat the budget
High-volume searches often bring in quick, low-value jobs. If you want renovations, commercial work or big installs, targeting and ad copy have to filter for that from the first click.
02
Most enquiries are phone calls
Many trade leads arrive by phone, and many businesses don't track calls at all. That leaves Google Ads bidding blind and SEO results impossible to judge.
03
Service area matters more than anything
Google Maps and local results lean heavily on location. Showing up across your whole service area takes a properly set up Business Profile and a sensible page structure, not 60 suburb clones.
04
B2B buyers search differently
Suppliers selling into mining, civil or commercial construction see low search volume, technical buyers and long specification cycles. A few of the right enquiries is worth more than hundreds of the wrong ones.
Our approach
Built around the jobs you want.
01
Decide which jobs to chase
We start with job types, typical job value and where you want to work. Campaigns and pages are built for the profitable work, and small jobs are actively filtered out where you want them gone.
02
Track every call
Call tracking on the website and in Google Ads, with calls that last long enough to be real counted as leads. Forms tracked too.
03
Local search done properly
Google Business Profile set up and maintained, reviews coming in steadily, and service and area pages that are worth reading.
04
Pages for each buyer
For suppliers and commercial contractors, landing pages for each industry or project type, so a mining buyer and a civil buyer each land on something written for them.
05
Report on enquiries by job type
So you can see whether search is bringing in the work you want, not just more phone calls.
From our client work
Fixing the numbers before chasing more leads
An industrial supplier selling into mining and civil construction across Australia and Asia. The reported leads were inflated, so the first job was making the data honest.
Status: Tracking rebuilt, Asia campaigns relaunched. The go-forward measure is cost per verified lead, reviewed quarterly.
FAQ
Common questions.
Can you stop us getting small jobs from Google Ads?
You can reduce them a lot. Targeting, negative keywords, ad copy that mentions minimum job sizes or project types, and landing pages that speak to bigger work all filter enquiries before they reach you.
Do we need a page for every suburb?
No. A handful of strong area pages, a well-maintained Google Business Profile and good reviews usually beat dozens of thin suburb pages, and they don't risk the rest of the site.
Do you work with suppliers and manufacturers?
Yes. B2B suppliers selling into construction, mining and civil projects are a good fit, especially where one account is worth a lot over time.
