AI Search

Be the business AI recommends.

When someone asks ChatGPT for a good family lawyer, or Google shows an AI Overview for "best buyer's agent in Brisbane", a few businesses get named. We help make sure yours is one of them, and we measure whether it's working.

Where we track you

  • Google AI Overviews and AI Mode
  • ChatGPT
  • Perplexity
  • AI referral traffic and enquiries in GA4

How it actually works

AI tools recommend what the web already agrees on.

There's a lot of hype around "AI SEO". Most of it skips over a simple point: AI answer tools don't invent recommendations. They search, read what they find, and summarise the sources they trust.

So when one of them names three firms, it's usually because those firms show up clearly and consistently across the sources it read. Their own websites, but also directories, review sites, industry bodies, news, forums and comparison pages.

That means three things decide whether you get mentioned:

  1. Can it find you? Your site needs to rank in the underlying search, and AI crawlers need to be allowed to read it.
  2. Does it understand you? Your business name, location, services and specialties need to be described the same way everywhere.
  3. Does anyone else vouch for you? Third-party mentions carry more weight than what you say about yourself.

None of this replaces SEO. It builds on it. Which is why we treat it as part of one search strategy rather than a separate product.

What we do

The work, without the buzzwords.

Practical changes to your site and your presence across the web, prioritised by which questions matter to your business.

01

Visibility baseline

We test the questions your customers ask and record who gets mentioned today. You, your competitors, or nobody.

02

Entity clarity

Consistent business details, clear service and location descriptions, and schema that tells machines exactly who you are and what you do.

03

Content built to be quoted

Direct answers, specific facts, real pricing guidance and visible dates. The kind of content an AI tool can lift a sentence from and cite.

04

Third-party proof

Getting you onto the directories, reviews, comparison pages and industry sources that AI tools draw from for your category.

05

Technical access

Making sure AI crawlers can read your site, and that important content isn't hidden behind scripts they can't render.

06

Measurement

Monthly tracking of mentions, citations and share of voice against competitors, plus AI referral traffic and leads in GA4.

Straight talk

What we won't promise.

Nobody controls what ChatGPT says. Answers change by the question, the person and the day. Any agency promising guaranteed AI rankings is guessing, or selling something.

What we can do is make your business the most clearly described, best-supported option in your category, then track whether mentions are going up. If they aren't, you'll see that in the report too.

FAQ

AI search questions.

Is AI search replacing Google?

Not for most service businesses, not yet. Google still sends the bulk of high-intent searches. What has changed is that AI Overviews now sit above many of those results, and a growing share of people ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for recommendations before they search. You want to show up in both.

Can you guarantee my business will be mentioned by ChatGPT?

No, and be wary of anyone who says they can. AI answers vary by question, location and even by the same question asked twice. What we can do is make your business clear, credible and easy to cite, then measure how often you are mentioned and whether it is improving.

Is this different from SEO?

It overlaps heavily. AI tools pull from web search results and the sources those results point to, so solid SEO is the foundation. The extra work is in how clearly your business is described across the web, which third-party sources mention you, and how your content is structured so it can be quoted.

How do you measure AI visibility?

We track a set of questions your customers actually ask, across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, and record whether you are mentioned or cited and which competitors are. We also track AI referral traffic and enquiries in GA4.

Should I block AI crawlers from my site?

For a service business that wants to be recommended, usually not. If GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot cannot read your site, those tools have to rely on what other sites say about you. We check this as part of every audit.
